Further to earlier post here, we returned to Forest Way School to deliver the items we promised in our earlier visit to the 16+ students. Graham, the husband of one of members had built a couple of brilliant planters for the group, and these were presented to the students. We would like to thank Harlow's Timber in Coalville for giving us an excellent deal on the wood to create the planters. The students and staff were thrilled with them. We also delivered plenty of compost to fill the planters, although we left the students to load the planters with the compost.
We also took along a bench for them. This needed constructing, and whilst this seemed a quite simple job, typically it did not work out so. After a frustrating 1/2 hour, we did manage to get it built, with the help of a saw to trim part of the bench, thereby enabling us to complete the construction. We added a plaque to bench acknowledging the Club's donation but leaving space for school to add one of their own to remember a recently departed student that has been sorely missed.
Below are a few pictures taken of our work!!

Before we left, the staff and students gave us a great thank you for the delivered items. We wait in anticipation to see the use of the planters when the flowers/vegetables they will plant come to fruition.
