Several members of the Coalville Belvoir Rotary Club were delighted to attend presentations by two attendees of the Rotary Young Leadership Awards (RYLA) session that took place during the summer months (see here).
The evening, on Thursday 9th January, organised along with the three Ashby Rotary Clubs was to hear how the two attendees for 2024, Bethany Bradford and Katie McGill, found the course and how it had impacted them then, now and potentially in the future.
The candidates were sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Coalville Belvoir, Ashby de la Zouch and Ashby de la Zouch Castle, with Bethany receiving additional support from her employer, Mander Cruickshank.
From their presentations, it was clear that both had a fantastic time and that it has had life changing impact on their lives. The presentations were both very moving and both showed great presentations skilled along with emotional and humorous aspects during their time talking to us.
RYLA is a leadership experience course where you develop your skills as a leader whilst having fun and making connections, learning problem solving techniques, building confidence and working as a team. Rotary clubs sponsor young people each year to attend this amazing experience.
Coalville Belvoir Rotary Club is delighted that they had such a wonderful and positive experience and proud of the acheivements they have made since their time on the course and during the night. We wish them both all the best for the future.
