Coalville Belvoir Rotary Club are very proud to have delivered a number of Bleed Control kits to hostelries in the Coalville area.
In November 2024, Catherine Ridgeway from NWLDC contacted Belvoir Coalville Rotary about a conversation she had had with five pub managers in the Coalville area about having a Bleed kit on the premises in the event of a major blood loss incident such as an accident or a stabbing.
First aid kits are designed to manage minor injuries but are not effective in a major blood loss
situation and this is where the Bleed Control kits can help. They contain specially designed trauma dressings that could buy precious time until the emergency services arrive and can save a life.
Of course, the Emergency Services should always be called first and their advice sought about what to do.
Accidents happen and stabbings are sadly all to prominent in the news. We sincerely hope that the kits remain unused but ready in case they are needed.#
Coalville Belvoir are very proud to have been involved in supplying the Bleed control Kits to
